Ok, here goes!
Looks, it has funky wavy edges, and a reverse camber that blows the mind. Oh yeah did I mention that it also looks like a banana with its bright yellow color.
Function, well It starts in UTAH, in some of the most forgiving conditions anywhere. The Skate Banana in my eyes performed flawlessly out there. Automaticly I noticed on the first run the boards natural ability to float on powder. I am not a heavy person by any means, 160lbs. so it made it even easier for me to float on top. I tried to nose dive the board into the powder only to be surprised by it popping right through the top again, as if to say is that all you've got as I tried to drown it with powder! So powder 2 thumbs up. Next, it handles like a Cadillac on fresh groomers. I was able to just about drag my knees if I was to get really low into a deep carve, that Magne traction really grips! Enough about ideal conditions, now to the nity gritty East Coast where I live or should I say the " ICE Coast " . I took it out after the mountain I ride at had a lot of freezing rain, which had frozen solid then covered over by 3 inches of heavy powder. The board did feel a little squirrely at first, ( could have been my stance. ) When I would scrape down to the ICE, the board would really cut into it like a serrated knife. I purposely tried many times in the skied off areas to loose an edge but it was just not possible, I even ventured into ice covered moguls and the board even kept an edge in those too !!! The Banana is super flexy, and would work really well in the park and pipe conditions too...
So to make a long review short, I would highly recommend this board to the rider who rides everything in all conditions possible.
Thanks for taking the time to read this !

Happy Trails, Jay
